The Central Cafe Paradigm. Design of a Conceptual Model to Promote Interaction between Peri-urban Communities and their Visitors
Abstract
This research aims to create a multidisciplinary conceptual model articulated in various media, supported by an interactive interface, which ensures the promotion of periurban communities and promotes the exchange of experiences, as well as the construction of meanings between visitors and local inhabitants. Understood as an access point between the real and the virtual, Café Central is symbolically explored as a mediator object of human relations present in the vast majority of peri-urban locations in Portugal.
