Salomé Esteves
Phd Student in Design
A journalist turned communication designer turned researcher in data visualization. After an undergraduate degree in Communication Sciences and a master’s in Communication Design, Salomé is nowadays a Ph.D. student in Design at the Lisbon School of Architecture, University of Lisbon. Simultaneously, she is a collaborator researcher in CIAUD (Research Centre for Architecture, Urbanism and Design).
The main themes of her research cover the intersection of data visualization and news media, with a particular focus on the correlation between work routines and academic
backgrounds.
Since 2019, she has also taken part in teaching Data Visualization and Infographics in the Interaction Design and Communication Design master’s degrees, respectively. Both degrees in the Lisbon School of Architecture, University of Lisbon.
