Abstract
The purpose of this research is to bring reading back into the popular mainstream, through the development of an interactive product that connects the reader with the book and allows for participation. As technology have developed, the use of printed books for entertainment purposes have diminished. In the last 12 years, the number of Portuguese highschool students that has not read a book for pleasure doubled, raising concern for cognitive development of younger generations. Using interaction design, HCI and emotional design, we intend to transition experience from modern forms of entertainment to the experience of printed books.
