MOOCS: Interaction Design and Online Education

Abstract
Interaction design is a complex area underlining many different disciplines, which may affect its training due to the need of knowledge on several subjects. In addition, diversity of academic contexts make student’s knowledge unpredictable when preparing interaction design degrees. This can generate difficulties for graduate students, master’s students, with the need for more intensive specific knowledge and skills and for faculty preparing study plans.
We propose to develop a design project to make online resources available with the aim of introducing new students to multidisciplinary areas, so as to decrease their knowledge gap when starting new training. We will specifically address the context of the Interaction Design Master’s degree, with the possibility of replicating in other areas.
