See You Online: Development of a MOOC Course in the Teaching of Interaction Design
Abstract
Open educational resources allowed notable changes in teaching and learning, sometimes providing free and open access learning materials. Among those resources, MOOC (Massive Open Online Course) training, benefited many people from all over the world with free online training, from any computer, mobile phone or electronic tablet, with no limit of space or time.
This research analyzes how MOOCs can serve as an online learning space that allows leveling the knowledge of those who wish to specialize in design. Discover how the knowledge gap with which students enter to do a postgraduate degree in design can be reduced, distinguishing contents and educational approaches to reinforce knowledge students should acquire about design. At the same time we want to find the role of interaction design in contributing to this leveling of knowledge.
